Come Worship with us
Sundays at 11:00 AM

We are a New Church, and we are diligently preparing for you. We want to be your neighbor. Our home is Intown Atlanta. We are located in Candler Park, but our community extends far beyond.

This an exciting time as we look forward to bringing a vibrant faith community to intown Atlanta. We welcome all to be a part of our journey as we get to know one another, make connections, eat together, worship, create a vision for our church, and even name this new congregation!

We seek Authentic, Artistic, and Adventurous expressions in the Christian tradition. We invite you to journey with us.

Beliefs & Values

We’re a United Methodist congregation. Though we are a new community of faith, we believe in the promise to have open hearts, open minds, and open doors.

We believe we experience God in worship, in friendships, and in service to one another.

We believe in good questions as much as we do the answers they provide.

We believe that God’s love is not confined by this or any other church, and is open to everyone, regardless of ethnicity, race, national origin, sexual orientation, or social status.

Authentically Christian: We believe faith is lived out in response to God’s gracious actions towards us, manifested in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We are at our best when we are loving, gracious, and hospitable to one and all, regardless of circumstance.

Authentically Wesleyan: We believe faith is a continuous journey fed by study and service. We were made with keen minds and warm hearts. Why ignore one over the other?

Authentically Intown: This is our neighborhood, and we are here to gather and serve. Intown Atlanta is a vibrant, colorful place, and though our members are from all over town, we are proud to call this corner home.

Music, theater, painting, dance, pottery, drawing, woodworking…

We believe that something wonderful is expressed through the arts—a hint of God’s creativity that exists in each of us. That’s why we celebrate and seek to cultivate expressions of the arts in our community.

We believe that faith is lived out in its fullest when we are doing the kind of things Jesus did.

Today, that looks like advocating and working towards ending hunger, poverty, and homelessness. It takes the shape of a fair and just society where all can grow, learn, work, live, and thrive. It means always keeping the doors open, welcoming any into the community of faith regardless of ethnicity, race, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or where they are on their faith journey.

When is worship?

We start in the Sanctuary at 11:00 AM on Sunday mornings.
Don’t worry if you’re a little late, come on in!

You may also come for studies and discussions at one of our Sunday School classes, which start at 9:45 AM.

What is Worship like?

On a typical Sunday, we read scripture, sing, listen to music, and hear a message delivered by one of our pastors. Some Sundays, we celebrate communion. Whether you are new to church or grew up a lifelong Methodist, we will help you know what is coming next and want you to feel included.

The music is like our community—eclectic. Come early, between Sunday School and Worship for Flying Biscuits and coffee.  You’ll find new friends and a connection to God. Worship lasts an hour.

How to get here?

We are located in the heart of Candler Park–at McLendon and Mell, across the street from the Park. You can find us via Google Maps or Apple Maps.

We are located two blocks from the Candler Park MARTA station. Exit the North side of the train station. Cross DeKalb Avenue heading North at Oakdale/ Whitefoord. Follow DeKalb Avenue to Mell (landmark is Radial Cafe on the left). Turn Left. The Church will be on your right as you approach McLendon Avenue.

What about my child?

We also provide a welcoming atmosphere for all, including children. If you prefer to have your child be with you during worship, that’s okay, too. We love the energy kids bring to worship! We also provide excellent childcare in our nursery.

What do I wear?

Whatever makes your comfortable. Some dress up. Some wear shorts. Some wear jeans. Just come. You are welcome here.

What else?

Hang around after worship. Say hello to some new friends. Join a group walking down the street to Sunday Brunch at a nearby restaurant.
